Could Have Songtext
Songtext powered by LyricFind
Just another night and I'm
walking along a foggy sidewalk.
I gaze around this street with
a memory of your smile in my eye.
The lights on this part of the street
don't work like they used to.
I guess they just dimmed over time.
Where I stand, I can't even see myself.
The combination of darkness and fog make my cadence
I step into a shallow puddle and curse to myself.
Now my socks are wet, but my shoes are dry.
But I just keep on walking.
Past this street.
Through this fog.
Beyond this horizon.
I know of a place to rest my head is near,
but I won't stay there long because
I gotta keep walking.
I'm not ready to stay in one place anymore.
I hate this street now, and I could have taken another,
but I took it,
and we took it together.
We could have gone another way, but we didn't...
We could have... but we didn't.
lose its rhythm as I walk carefully.
walking along a foggy sidewalk.
I gaze around this street with
a memory of your smile in my eye.
The lights on this part of the street
don't work like they used to.
I guess they just dimmed over time.
Where I stand, I can't even see myself.
The combination of darkness and fog make my cadence

Now my socks are wet, but my shoes are dry.
But I just keep on walking.

We could have... but we didn't.
