Three days of loving you, leading me in. holding me close to two years of denial. wondering what it was, and then i see your smile. these words don't come easy to me. telling me to forget. not as close to what we are. holding you and shaking. together we slept, rolled in warm promises. taking, I could see your words. inhaling frozen lies. asphyxiate. drowning in the soft of you. i can still taste the salt of the tears you shed that day. thinking you were gone from me. a prayer of sorts to hollow out the sin in me. those eyes cut the life out. tear at me, drain me. a flame to singe out the soul of me.
