It all started as a gleam in one man's eye,
Who claimed to speak to a being from the sky.
Answering people's questions about creation and life,
In exchange for a mere moral sacrifice.
And he created two worlds to describe the afterlife,
And wrote a book of laws to keep the world in line.
Then he prayed on the weak, confused and young,
And he preached it all to them with a silver tongue.
And the world accepted the thoughts he left behind,
And developed civilization on a basis of lies.
