Spit onto this earth like phlegm on the wall
Slipping down slowly, pulling others as we fall
Splatting on our faces as things get too tough
We can hope it will get better but dreaming's not enough

Some of us succeed, some sit around and cry
Being pessimistic's like waiting 'round to die
But others venture blind and hold their heads too high
They wake up decades later and wonder when the time flew by
