You know I don't really mind
I'll try anything once
At least that's what people tell me

You say you've known me the longest, longer than anyone
Yet I've written things for them and never you
And its always been poetry at its finest

So I sat down because I knew I had to get this thing done
And there was nothing going on upstairs
Something that you've told me to realize for some time now

I put down my pen and then it came to me
And although its only been a month
I think it turned out fine

One more thing, this one's for you

It seems to happen when the mind's a waste
And I'm feeling justified for the things I say
Like, "I want to see you and I won't take long
Yeah, I've got to see you and I won't take long"
