Every night I try to sleep
And every night I give up
I watch TV and I read
But nothing really seems to help

There's something that happens to me
Every time I try to sleep

I would rather take a walk
Or wake my girlfriend up to talk
I'd rather look through magazines
Than go to sleep and dream

I'm not into wasting my life
And there's so much to see all the time
I'm afraid I am missing something beautiful
So I don't want to waste any time sleeping
