Snow Creature Songtext
Songtext powered by LyricFind
There were some glasses in a dream
The kind that turn everything green.
So the grass began to grow
and there was rain instead of snow.
There was sun instead of sleet
and everyone thought it was great.
And in this dream I rode a bird
that was not of this world.
It had skinny human legs
The kind that turn everything green.
So the grass began to grow
and there was rain instead of snow.
There was sun instead of sleet
and everyone thought it was great.
And in this dream I rode a bird
that was not of this world.
It had skinny human legs
and it perch behind my neck.
It took me north over the trees
To see if water still could freeze.
There was a mountain topped with snow
,but it melted as I approached
So the ice birds cursed and spit
they said I wasn't worth shit.
Because I couldn't even speak.
When I tried I was to weak.
So I pictured what was wrong
and made a drawing not a song.
Without words it came to be
Without chords it could be seen
Without paint it couldn't move.
So I gave it browns and blues.
I was walking.
Now its slowly walking now its breathing.
Now its trudging along in a path of perfect clarity
Itself was never clear
The ice will break.
The gulf will shake.
We'll always be right here.
Snows will return.
Come back home and it will always be known
that you press on thru the bird.
You were never gone.
It took me north over the trees
To see if water still could freeze.
There was a mountain topped with snow
,but it melted as I approached
So the ice birds cursed and spit
they said I wasn't worth shit.
Because I couldn't even speak.
When I tried I was to weak.
So I pictured what was wrong
and made a drawing not a song.
Without words it came to be
Without chords it could be seen
Without paint it couldn't move.
So I gave it browns and blues.

Now its slowly walking now its breathing.
Now its trudging along in a path of perfect clarity
Itself was never clear
The ice will break.
