â??The Lonely Kingsâ? by Tony Chiri
Sitting alone against my lonely throne,
Looking about on the kingdom I once roamed,
Sitting here wondering how I came to be,
The once powerful and dreadful now lonely king,
I built this great empire through hard work and much spent time,
I built this great empire,
This empire I call mine,
It once was so glorious,
So extravagant and full,
This great empire is now dull,
So as I sit here pondering how things came to be,
I look upon this kingdom,
I'm now the lonely king,
And I think somewhere off in the distance I'm sure there is much glee,
Some other wonderful kingdom where happiness came to be,
And in this head I picture that place so wonderful,
So great,
But then I remember all too soon,
That place will be filled with hate,
And then one day,
I will not be alone,
Sooner or later there will be hundreds,
Thousands just like me,
I will sit in one of many thrones,
Home to all of the once great now lonely kings
Now it is just dark and empty,
Sitting alone against my lonely throne,
Looking about on the kingdom I once roamed,
Sitting here wondering how I came to be,
The once powerful and dreadful now lonely king,
I built this great empire through hard work and much spent time,
I built this great empire,
This empire I call mine,
It once was so glorious,
So extravagant and full,
This great empire is now dull,
So as I sit here pondering how things came to be,
I look upon this kingdom,
I'm now the lonely king,
And I think somewhere off in the distance I'm sure there is much glee,
Some other wonderful kingdom where happiness came to be,
And in this head I picture that place so wonderful,
So great,
But then I remember all too soon,
That place will be filled with hate,
And then one day,
I will not be alone,
Sooner or later there will be hundreds,
Thousands just like me,
I will sit in one of many thrones,
Home to all of the once great now lonely kings
