The World on its Last Breath Songtext
Songtext powered by LyricFind
We're never gonna make it outta here alive
The world's on its last breath trying to escape and lift its body from its casket
A change of address and a set of new clothes
Moving from the middle of the country to the west coast
This seems so right but something feels tragic
We'll leave tonight so we can beat the morning traffic
When we arrive we'll only talk about tomorrow
And take it day by day as well as bottle by bottle
The state of how we live should not be colour coded
And it is just as though our freedom's been stolen
The world's on its last breath trying to escape and lift its body from its casket
A change of address and a set of new clothes
Moving from the middle of the country to the west coast
This seems so right but something feels tragic
We'll leave tonight so we can beat the morning traffic
When we arrive we'll only talk about tomorrow
And take it day by day as well as bottle by bottle
The state of how we live should not be colour coded
And it is just as though our freedom's been stolen
This is the war that we never were prepared for
Battling ourselves and the only ones we care for
Righteous movements sparked by the lack of faith
Life is useless without a rotten aftertaste
On behalf of my mind and nothing more
The universe is starting to collapse from the inner core
The lungs of the world can't stand the pollution
Its heart isn't used to the constant abuse
The tears are the raindrops that die in the ocean
Slowly we'll drown until the next revolution
The lungs of the world won't survive this destruction
It doesn't have the heart to go on
The sun was a smile now it's caught in an eclipse
The earth will soon die without a chance to be missed
The moon laughs at us with the constellations
Built on a domino effect of impatience
One major source of protection here has failed
It transformed security from powerful to frail We're all our own worst enemy it's killing me
That today's existance is a major liability
Friction melts and it's ready to erupt
This will be the end all - silencing of us
And give it time or at least give it hell
Surrendering should never be an option with appeal
Learn to balance out your unstable equator
And seek guidance from a reliable crisis operator
Don't compromise your right to negotiate
Only speak when you know that it's appropriate
Use your knowledge as well as your common sense
Waiting for a compliment reveals your lack of confidence
The lungs of the world can't stand the pollution
Its heart isn't used to the constant abuse
The tears are the raindrops that die in the ocean
Slowly we'll drown until the next revolution
The lungs of the world won't survive this destruction
It doesn't have the heart to go on
The sun was a smile now it's caught in an eclipse
The earth will soon die without a chance to be missed
I don't wanna be a part of this argument
Giving contributions to the lives that they're targeting
Every person is a victim and a murderer
Taking pieces from themselves and cautiously burning them
I am not a figment of imgination
And you are just a figure from a bad relation
Thrown together in an overheated melting pot
We could save the world if we attempted to connect the dots
But we won't because of simple traits of nature
The human life is too complex to save your neighbour
So let it all just become a story for your kids to read
We're in no position to declare this war a victory
The world's legs are cramped, its oxygen is low
Its heartbeat is faint, its vision's about to go
Why did we all wait so long to aknowledge this
Times almost up
Save yourself and your apologies
Battling ourselves and the only ones we care for
Righteous movements sparked by the lack of faith
Life is useless without a rotten aftertaste
On behalf of my mind and nothing more
The universe is starting to collapse from the inner core
The lungs of the world can't stand the pollution
