Words On Paper Songtext
Songtext powered by LyricFind
We're breathing it, it sets in our minds like concrete
A way of life like we learn to speak
Surrounded by social ideologies
We tear down these walls and we're free
A pretty face struck me and crippled me in many ways
I fought a war within myself that still exists today
And I confess I don't know much of love at such an age
But I do know what I'm feeling's self-inflicted pain
I turn on the news and I wonder what war has done to obligate these men
I look out at the crowd and consider what makes me so different from the rest
I fall into bed and I wither as thoughts begin to pour out of my head and circulate again
A gradual line curves and creates your entire life
Just words on paper as you're set in time
And generations of your bloodline
Are lost and slowly die
I look at myself in the mirror and know that I'm not the only one obsessed
