Ladders Songtext
I remember it a sight to see, brown blazer your eye on me.
Behind your desk of sorts you hummed a gentle little tune I loved.
Our nights were spent up in the air, you held my hand, I was not scared.
You said you shouldn't fall for me for one day soon you'd have to leave.
Travels in colorful hot air balloons, climbing the ladders that lead to your room...
You left me on April 3rd, May was spent without a word.
June, I'd heard you'd dissapeared, your body found just south of here.
I bore your son, I was relieved-a beekeeper he said he'd be
and never have to leave the ground.
I'll keep him near me safe and sound.
Letters I write to the sky everyday begging him to bring back what he took away.
Now only a dreamer could I be there too, climbing the ladders that lead to the moon.
